A Legal Ethics Expert’s Testimony On The Torture Memos

The Legal Ethics Forum has a link to interesting testimony by Prof. David Luban on the ethics of the “Torture Memos.”  Prof. Luban’s testimony can be found here.  Prof. Luban’s testimony focuses on the ethical obligations of lawyers when advising clients about what the law is, something which is almost always done in private and which almost always remains private.  Does Prof. Luban’s testimony accurately describe what you do or what you think a lawyer’s obligation is when advising a client about what the law is?
