U.S. Supreme Court and Wes Horton: The Oral Argument in Kelo v. New London

Click here to link to a recording of the oral argument in Kelo made available by Oyez.  Wes Horton (of Horton Shields & Knox) Connecticut’s best known appellate advocate, argued the case for New London.  Horton addressed the high court with an authoritative ease and respectful familiarity that suggested he was entirely at home appearing before the Justices of the United States Supreme Court.  If one wanted to learn by osmosis something about appellate argument, listen to Horton’s argument.  One wonders exactly how (and how long)  Horton prepared for his appearance before the Supreme Court.  Impressive.
